Who is CXDIE?
Codie Rogers is a Christian Rapper, Artist, and Speaker who is passionate about sharing the transformative power of Faith and the Gospel. With a captivating presence and a heart for ministry, Codie delivers impactful messages that resonate with audiences of all ages.
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Codie discovered his love for music at an early age playing the violin. By the age of 15, he discovered Christian hip hop and began writing his own music. In 2018—3 years later—he formed a Christian Rap/Rock band known as Rochii. Soon, he would find himself sharing the stage with artists such as Tauren Wells, Colton Dixon, and many more. By 2023, he began his solo artist career, known today as CXDIE.
NAME MEANING:
So, what does CXDIE mean? Really, it's just my name, pronounced Codie. Then, what's the "X" for?
Looking at the logo, you'll see the "X" is slanted. My name should should draw people to the glory of God—more specifically what Jesus Christ has done. Translate my artist name by reading it as "Christ carried the cross and He died." Jesus died on the cross for the sins of you and I, so that we could have eternal life. Why?
Because we were dead in our sin. Jesus, took on a punishment we deserved—for our wrongs—so He died, and overcame sin and death, so that we could have eternal life. He died so that we would want to turn away from our old life of sin.
Furthermore, what you you are going to find in my music are themes of the gospel. My new life in Christ has led me to grow, persevere, and overcome anything the world throws at me. And, while you are going to hear stories about me, it is not just about me, but what Christ has done through me!
